One farm got 20 inquiries in two weeks. They normally get 6 to 8 in a year.

That is what this map does when it is running. Help keep it going.

How Blue Farm Directory Listings Work

Blue Farm Directory includes self-confirmed Blue Farms, independent farms, farmers markets, and CSA or farm-share options. Some listings are submitted directly by farms. Others are created from reliable public business information. Blue Farm status is only added when the farm confirms that designation directly with us.

Two farm listing types. One important difference.

How farms get added
Confirmed Blue Farm
Unconfirmed Listing
Submitted directly by farm
Added from public information
Suggested by community member

Confirmed Blue Farm means the farm directly confirmed that designation with Blue Farm Directory.
‍
Unconfirmed Listing means the listing was created from public business information and has not yet been confirmed by the farm.

More ways to buy directly from farms

Farmers markets and CSA or farm-share programs help connect independent producers with the people who buy their food.

Farmers Markets

bring multiple producers together in one place.

CSA / Farm Shares

create an ongoing direct relationship between a farm and its customers.

What the Confirmed Blue Farm badge means

A Confirmed Blue Farm has directly told Blue Farm Directory that it wants to be identified as a Blue Farm.

We do not infer Blue Farm status from location, demographics, social-media activity, donations, or private voting information.

The badge is not a government, food-safety, or organic certification.

‍The designation belongs to the farm.

This isn’t just a directory.
It’s a way to vote with your dollars.

The Bigger Picture

Blue Farm Directory is free for farmers and free to search. Your support helps us grow the map, reach more farms and make it easier for people to buy directly from them.
